Galveston Parade Updates

Hi Krewe!!

I’m getting a few questions on the parades. I’m sorry for the confusion. 

The Galveston Parades are upon us. Here is some information that will be helpful!

Friday night and Tuesday Include : 

 Fee to ride is $20. Cash collected upon entry to the float.  Please Confirm with D’Anne if you are not sure you’re on the list to ride. 

Fri. Feb. 9 @ 8pm Krewe Babalu "All Krewe" Parade 

Krewe Babalu is the "every man's Mardi Gras krewe" founded in 1995 by Guy Taylor with the purpose of promoting Mardi Gras festivities on Galveston Island and promoting civic and social activities within the organization and the city of Galveston. Come join all the Mardi Gras Krewes! 

Parade Route: The parade will begin at 25th Street and Santa Fe Place and head south on 25th Street. The parade will turn at 25th and Mechanic, and loop twice around Strand/Mechanic. 

 We will Finish decorating the float at the meeting spot in Galveston. 6 pm. 

WE ARE MEETING AT THE FLOAT. ON 25th/SANTA FE STREET.  Just look for all of the floats lined up in the same spot. You can’t miss it. But if you do just put 

Galveston Railroad Museum 

2602 Santa Fe Pl, Galveston, TX 77550

It will take you right there. 

PARKING: You can park at the Railroad Museum parking lot. Last year I chose to park at a different lot and they were charging $20. So be prepared to pay for parking! 

***PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FEE TO RIDE THE FLOAT. ****

Feb 9th- float has 2 spots available 

Feb 13 th - 2 spots available 

Meeting location is the same as Feb 9
